Dating to the 1860's/70's, a hand carved shell cameo of the goddess Flora framed in a border of glossy English Whitby Jet. A source of inspiration; Flora has beautiful Roses in her hair and hand carved in a naïve fashion, recalls the Classical past charmingly. 

Mounted by our jeweller in a custom Silver mount and suspended upon an 18 inch Silver belcher chain. The pendant measures 3cm lengthwise, and this piece was once the centrepiece of a bracelet (evidenced by the drill holes to the sides and now hidden by the mount).
